The monsoon season calls for warm and rich desserts. A serving of sooji halwa made with desi ghee and a generous amount of dry fruits can surely beat the blues. Here’s how to make it in your kitchen.
1 cup sooji 1/4 cup ghee 1 cup milk 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder A pinch of saffron strands Chopped nuts
Heat some ghee and stir in sooji. Roast till golden brown.
Gradually add milk and keep stirring till the mixture is thick and consistent.
Add sugar and let the halwa cook till it dissolves.
Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron and serve warm.
