Misal pav is a quintessential street food and breakfast option in Maharashtra. Featuring a lentil-based curry, sprouted moth beans, and a blend of spices, here’s how you can make it at home.
1 cup sprouted moth beans 1 onion 1 tomato 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp red chilli powder 2 tsp misal masala Oil as required Salt to taste Water as required 1 pack pav Sev for topping
Pressure cook sprouted moth beans with some salt and haldi powder for 2-3 whistles.
Heat some oil, chop the onion, and sauté . Add ginger-garlic paster and chopped tomato and cook.
Mix in red chilli powder, misal masala, and salt. Add water and cooked moth beans.
Bring to a boil and let the mixture simmer for about ten minutes.
Top with sev and garnish with coarinader leaves. Toast some pavs and serve.
