Millet Kheer: Turn The Indian Dessert Gluten-Free With This Recipe

Nothing is more comforting than a bowl filled with traditional Indian desserts. One of the indulgent desserts is kheer, which can be enjoyed guilt-free by making it with millet instead of rice.

Ingredients

1/2 cup millet 2 cups milk Sugar as per taste 2 tablespoons ghee A pinch of cardamom powder Chopped dry fruits for garnishing

Step 1

Heat some ghee and roast millet till golden brown.

Step 2

In another pan, heat some milk. Let it boil and then simmer for another 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the roasted millet and sugar to the milk. Let it cook till the sugar dissolves.

Step 4

Mix in a pinch of cardamom powder. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot.
