Millet halwa is a healthier spin on the traditional Indian dessert. If you are looking for a rich and gluten-free dessert option, millet halwa can satiate all your cravings, that too without the lingering guilt.
1 cup millet flour 1 cup milk 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup ghee 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder Chopped nuts for garnish
Roast any millet flour, like foxtail or barnyard, till fragrant. Set aside.
In a separate pan, mix milk, water, ghee, and sugar. Let it simmer.
Mix in roasted millet flour and cardamom powder and cook till the mixture thickens.
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve it warm.
