Soft paneer cubes soaked in a light sugar syrup, chena murki melts gently before leaving behind a delicate sweetness. Each bite feels milky, slightly chewy, and clean, without the heaviness of richer sweets.
1 cup chena (fresh paneer cubes) ½ cup sugar ½ cup water 2-3 green cardamom pods 1 tsp rose water
Boil sugar and water until a light syrup forms without reaching one-string consistency.
Add paneer cubes and simmer gently for 4-5 minutes so they absorb sweetness.
Stir in crushed cardamom and rose water for fragrance.
Cook till the syrup lightly coats the cubes without turning sticky or thick.
Cool completely before serving so the texture settles soft yet slightly firm.
