Navratri bhog is the most special spread prepared for Goddess Durga. It includes a wide range of savouries and sweets. This year, make mawa barfi at home and offer it to the Goddess to seek her blessings.
2.5 cups mawa ⅛ tsp cardamom 2 tbsp nuts ¾ cup sugar Ghee for greasing 2 tbsp milk powder 1 tsp rose essence ¾ cup sugar
Grease an aluminium tray and set it aside. It will be used later to set the barfi.
Crumble the khoya at room temperature and add it to a heavy-bottom pan with sugar, cardamom powder, and rose water.
Cook on a low flame, wait for the sugar to dissolve, and the mixture to turn gooey.
Once the blend leaves the pan and can accumulate as a large lump, transfer it to the tray.
Let the barfi sit for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator after the mixture cools down.
Cut it into rectangles and serve.
