Matar kachori is a delight to relish over the weekends because it promises to leave you in a food coma, after which you would only like to sleep. Spiced filling of peas is stuffed inside the dough, which is rolled and deep-fried until the crust is crispy. Check out the recipe.
1 small pumpkin Olive oil Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 large eggs Ketchup or your favourite dipping sauce
It’s time to take out the frozen peas from the refrigerator and boil them.
Knead the dough with either atta or maida, or mix them in equal ratio. Sprinkle salt before kneading.
Heat oil in a pan and saute powdered spices for 3-4 seconds. Add boiled peas.
Wait for peas to soften, and sprinkle salt. Mash the peas and let the mixture cool off.
Take small balls of the dough, stuff them with the matar mixture, and roll them.
Deep-fry these kachoris until they are crispy and enjoy with chutney or sabzi of your choice.
