Masoor dal chilla is a quick, healthy and protein-packed breakfast or a light meal. It’s flavourful, easy to make and a wholesome recipe which can't be missed. It pairs beautifully with chutney or raita.
1 cup masoor dal 1 finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped tomato 2 chopped green chillies 1 tsp grated ginger ½ tsp cumin seeds ¼ tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste Water as needed Oil for cooking
Soak dal for 2 hours, blend with water into a smooth batter.
Mix onion, tomato, chillies, ginger, cumin, turmeric, coriander and salt.
Spread batter on a hot, greased tawa, cook until golden on both sides.
Enjoy with hot chutney or yoghurt
