Mashed potatoes may be a Western classic, but they fit right into Indian comfort cooking. For the times when you’re too tired to cook but don’t want to get takeout, make mashed potatoes in just 4 steps.
4 potatoes 2-3 tbsp butter ½ cup milk Salt to taste Black pepper to taste 2 tbsp cream (optional)
Peel and boil the potatoes. Drain excess water and let the potatoes cool.
Once cooled, mash them till you reach your desired consistency.
Add butter and warm milk, and mix till you get a creamy and lump-free mixture.
Season with salt and pepper. Fold in cream if using and serve hot.
