Mango Sorbet Recipe: A Dairy-Free Frozen Summer Treat

Mango sorbet is a refreshing, dairy-free frozen dessert ideal for the scorching summer months. Made from pureed ripe mangoes, maple syrup, and lemon juice, this simple dessert is loved for its sweet and tangy flavour profile. It is often considered an alternative to ice cream.

Ingredients

5 cups frozen mango chunks 1/3 cup liquid sweetener (maple syrup/honey/agave nectar) 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Step 1

Let the frozen mango chunks sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Blend the mango, maple syrup, lime juice, and kosher salt in a high-speed blender until the bottom of the mixture becomes smooth.

Step 3

If the soft-serve consistency is desired, serve it immediately. Otherwise, refrigerate it after placing it in an airtight container for  2 to 3 hours.
