When mango season is in full swing, this easy mango peda is one of the easiest sweets you can make. Filled with fruity and summer flavours, these soft pedas change ripe mangoes into a dessert that makes the most of the mango season.

Ingredients

2 cups milk powder ¾ cup mango pulp ¼ cup condensed milk 2 tbsp ghee ¼ tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp chopped pistachios Few saffron strands (optional)

Step 1

In a heavy pan, heat the ghee and then add the mango pulp to it. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes so that the moisture reduces.

Step 2

To this, now add condensed milk and cardamom powder and stir constantly over low heat so the mixture turns smooth and develops a rich, fruity fragrance.

Step 3

Now, add milk powder while mixing it constantly. Mix it well so that no lumps are formed, and the mixture thickens a bit.

Step 4

Transfer this mixture to a plate and let it cool down so that you can make pedas out of it easily.

Step 5

Grease your palms with a little ghee and then take small portions to make soft, smooth pedas. Press them gently in the middle with your thumb and garnish with almonds or saffron.

Step 6

Let the pedas rest for about 15 to 20 minutes and then enjoy. Store the remaining in the fridge so that its shelf life increases.
