Mango jam is a fruity condiment that can make a boring slice of bread or crackers interesting. Its gooey texture and tropical notes make it a hit among kids and adults. Check out the recipe so you can make it at home.
½ cup sugar 1 kg ripe mango ¼ cup lemon juice ¾ cup water
Peel and slice mangoes. Cut them into small slices and remove any fibrous parts.
Take a saucepan, and combine all the ingredients. Cook the mangoes and keep stirring.
After 15 minutes, add lemon juice to balance the sweetness. It will also activate the natural pectin.
Jam will start thickening as natural pectin will be activated. It will start gaining the gooey texture.
Let the jam cool off and transfer it into a sterilised jar.
Spread it on bread slices or enjoy it between crackers.
