For a fresh and summery breakfast, this mango French toast recipe is a great way to start your weekend!
1 loaf sourdough bread 2 cups of milk 2tbsp vanilla extract ½ cup fresh mango pieces 1 cup homemade mango chutney 6 eggs ½ cup maple mango syrup ½ cup powdered sugar, for garnish ½ tsp ground cinnamon ½ cup fresh cream
Cut the bread into pieces approximately an inch thick.
Pour the eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla, and cinnamon into a bowl.
Whisk until combined. Heat a griddle, big frying pan, or flat top over medium-high heat.
Dip bread slices in egg mixture, then cook on a hot griddle until golden and crisp, rotating once.
Transfer to a hot platter and wrap in waxed paper to keep warm until ready to serve.
Serve with mango chutney or maple mango syrup, then garnish with chopped mango and powdered sugar!
