Malabar parotta is a flaky Indian flatbread that can be paired with a variety of curries, both vegetable and non-vegetarian. It is usually prepared with maida and feels lightweight. Check out how to make it at home.
1 tbsp sugar 3 cups maida 2 tbsp ghee 1 tsp salt Oil for soaking Water for kneading 2 tbsp rava
Mix maida, rava, salt, ghee, and sugar.
Knead the dough with water. Grease it with and cover it for an hour.
Punch it and divide it into dough balls. Keep them aside for another hour.
Roll a ball into a flat disc, roll a spiral and cut the strips in the middle.
Roll again and roast the paratha on a tawa.
You will notice layers turning golden brown. Enjoy the paratha with your favourite curry.
