Oats upma recipe is a nutritious and fibre-rich breakfast made with oats, vegetables and spices, which is low in calories and perfect for a healthy and satisfying start to your day.
1 cup oats 1 chopped onion 1 grated carrot 1/2 cup peas 1-2 chopped green chillies 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 tbsp oil Fresh coriander leaves
In a pan, roast oats for 2-3 minutes and set them aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin, and green chillies.
Add onions, grated carrot, peas and sauté them for 3-4 minutes.
Add turmeric, salt and stir them with the roasted oats.
Pour 2 cups of water and cook until the oats are soft.
Garnish with coriander and serve!
