Make Urad Dal Chilla, A Nutrient-Dense Recipe For Fitness Buffs

Urad dal chilla is rich in fibre and protein, making it an excellent pick for breakfast or snacks, especially for fitness fanatics. It can be your go-to dish because it hardly takes 5-10 minutes to arrange a lip-smacking meal on the table.

Ingredients

1 bowl of soaked urad dal 1-inch ginger 3 green chillies A pinch of hing 5-6 black peppercorns ½ tsp garam masala 1 bowl of rava 1 tsp coriander powder Salt to taste 3 tbsp coriander leaves 1 tsp chaat masala ½ tsp turmeric powder

Step 1

Add urad dal, green chillies, peppercorn, and ginger into a grinder. Turn it into a smooth paste.

Step 2

Add rava and spices to this paste. Pour water gradually to maintain the consistency of the batter.

Step 3

Once thick like dosa batter, keep this blend aside for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4

On a hot pan, spread a layer of this urad dal mixture. Let the base cook.

Step 5

You can flip the chilla to cook the other side. Serve it with chutney.
