Make This Zero-Oil Soya Chaap At Home

Making soya chaaps is one of the easiest recipes. However, you can explore the recipe without any oil, to make it healthier and smarter. There are many ways to make a soya chaap, you can grill it, cook it by simmering or use the tandoor method. Here's an easy oil-free soya chaap recipe which you can make at home!

Ingredients

– 250 grams soya chaap – 1 cup thick yogurt – 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon cumin powder – 1 teaspoon coriander – 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder – 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste) – Salt to taste – Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish) – Lemon wedges (for serving)

Step 1

Prepare the soya chaap by soaking them in warm water for about 15-20 minutes. Drain the water and pat them dry using a kitchen towel.

Step 2

Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to develop. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Thread the marinated soya chaap onto skewers. Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Step 4

Once cooked, remove the skewers from the oven or grill and transfer the soya chaap to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
