Keeping the body healthy from the inside and yet fit is actually a challenge many individuals face. Try this pineapple halwa recipe to keep yourself fresh, hydrated, and to satisfy your cravings!
1 ½ cups chopped pineapple 1 cup of semolina or sooji 1 pinch of saffron 1 drop of pineapple essence 4 tablespoons of ghee 4 tablespoons of sugar ¼ cup of raisins 1 handful of cashews Water as required 1 teaspoon of powdered green cardamom Pineapple tidbits as required
Put a deep-bottomed, non-stick pan on medium heat. Add the sugar, saffron, pineapple essence, and water.
Stir everything together. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Turn the heat down and allow the mixture to simmer until the sugar dissolves.
Set it aside. Heat more oil, place the cashews in it and roast till light brown.
Add semolina and cardamom powder. Roast till they are golden brown. Add the pineapple mixture to this.
Mix it well. Reduce the heat. Simmer the mixture until the water evaporates.
Add raisins and stir thoroughly. The oil will now begin to evaporate from the pan.
Transfer it to the serving bowl. Garnish with pineapple pieces. Serve pineapple halwa.
