Originating from Maharashtra, thalipeeth is a popular flatbread that is made with a multigrain flour called bhajani. To make your rotis or parathas healthier, try this thalipeeth recipe and pair it with your meals.

Ingredients

1 cup bhajani flour 1 onion 2 green chillies 2 tablespoons fresh coriander 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste 1/2 cup water 2 teaspoons oil

Step 1

Mix bhajani flour, onion, green chillies, coriander, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.

Step 3

Divide the dough into portions and flatten each portion into a thin round disc.

Step 4

Heat a tawa and cook the thalipeeth on both sides till golden brown.

Step 5

Serve hot with curd, white butter, pickle, or chutney.
