South Indian filter coffee is a hot beverage that caffeine-addicted Indians cannot begin their day without. It is super-easy to make, and you don’t need to work a lot either. If you have the authentic tumbler, here is how you can replicate filter kaapi in your kitchen.
2 tbsp ground coffee 1 cup hot water Sugar to taste 2-3 cups milk
Add the coffee to the first layer of the tumbler. It has small holes in it.
Press the ground coffee to level it.
Pour hot water over the coffee and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
Heat milk with sugar in a pan.
Add two tablespoons of decoction into the glasses and pour hot milk over it.
Mix coffee in the dabara set to develop the froth and enjoy.
