Fruit loaf is an impeccable tea-time accompaniment and also works great as a sweet breakfast addition. If you want to make a cafe-like fruit loaf, follow this step-by-step guide.
3 cups maida 2 cups water 2 cups powdered sugar 2 cups dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, cherries, apricots) 2 eggs 2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon Nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon
Heat some water in a pan and add dried fruits and sugar till the sugar dissolves.
Let the water cool for about half an hour till the fruits are plump.
Mix the dry ingredients like flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Whisk the butter and eggs with the fruit mixture. Gently combine the dry and wet ingredients.
Pour the batter into a greased pan and let it bake for about an hour.
Let the fruit loaf cool down before you slice it, and enjoy.
