Paneer do pyaza is a creamy, mildly spiced North Indian curry using double onions, chopped onions for the base and onion petals for texture. Pair the rich gravy with naan, roti, rice, and enjoy a luxurious meal.
200g paneer cubes 2 onions (1 chopped, 1 onion petals) 2 tomatoes puréed 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala Oil + salt ¼ cup cream (optional)
Sauté onion petals in oil and set aside.
In the same pan, cook chopped onions until golden.
Add ginger garlic paste, spices, and tomato purée, then cook till the masala thickens.
Add paneer cubes and mix gently.
Add sautéed onion petals and cream; simmer 2 minutes and serve.
