Kothimbir is a Maharashtrian crispy snack that pairs well with evening tea. This weekend, this is the perfect recipe to indulge in. Flaunting toasty sesame seeds and fresh coriander flavours, this dish will make you its fan in the first bite.
5 green chillies 100 grams of coriander 1 tbsp semolina, sesame seeds 50 grams of besan 8 garlic cloves 1 tsp cumin, oil 2 tbsp rice flour, water ½ tsp red chilli, garam masala Salt to taste ½-inch ginger ¼ tsp turmeric, pepper Oil for frying
Take a bowl, and mix besan, salt, rice flour, semolina, and coriander leaves.
Add ginger-garlic-chilli paste, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and pepper.
Combine the ingredients into a paste. Add water and set the blend in a baking
Steam the ingredients for 15-20 minutes. Once set, cut the savoury cake into rectangles.
Shallow-fry or deep-fry kothimbir vadi in a pan.
Enjoy the crispy snack with ketchup and tea on the side.
