If you are a big street food lover, you would be bowled over by the sheer variety of options available in Indore for every kind of glutton. It is a super light, healthy, and delicious breakfast option among Indoreans and people all over India.
1 cup of red poha 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds 5-6 curry leaves ½ teaspoon coriander powder 1 small onion, chopped 6-7 fresh coriander leaves 10-12 roasted peanuts ¼ cup of masala boondi ¼ cup of pomegranate kernels 1 teaspoon of jeeravan powder Salt to taste
Wash the poha and strain the water. Set it aside.
Boil water in a pot.
In a small pan, heat oil. Temper it with cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.
Add the tempering to the poha. Add in salt and turmeric. Mix it well.
Place the bowl of poha into a colander. Then put the colander on top of the boiling pot of water.
Mix in the onions, coriander leaves and lime juice.
Place the poha on a plate. Garnish with jeeravan masala, boondi, onions, pomegranate seeds and peanuts. Serve hot with jalebis.
