Post-meal cravings will make you reach for a pack of chips or namkeen. To help you stick to healthy eating, here’s a high-protein, high-fibre chana chaat recipe that can be quickly whipped up.
1 cup soaked chickpeas 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon oil 1 ginger 1 green chilli 1 onion 1 tomato 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 cup coriander leaves 1/4 cup sev 1 tablespoon lemon juice Chaat masala to taste Salt to taste
Take the soaked chickpeas, add water, and cook them in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes.
Heat some oil and add sauteed cumin seeds, grated ginger, and chopped green chilli.
Add chopped onion, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder and mix well.
Mix in the cooked chickpeas and add salt to taste.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, and sev and dig in.
