Making aloo pakoras is really simple. It takes so little time to prepare that you may offer them to anyone!
2 potatoes 1 cup gram flour 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander ½ tsp green chilli paste 1 tsp ginger paste Salt, to taste Oil, for frying Water, as needed
Add gram flour to a bowl and whisk in the water, adding it gradually until the lumps vanish. The batter should have a spoon-like consistency.
Beat the gram flour mixture for 2 to 3 minutes. Add green chilli paste, ginger paste, salt, red chilli powder, and cilantro leaves.
Allow 10 minutes for the batter to rest after thoroughly mixing it. Peel and prepare the potatoes and chop them thinly.
Heat oil in a deep-bottomed pan. Dip the potatoes in the batter, coat them in some gram flour dip again to bind.
Gently add pakoras to the oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney.
