Make Gluten-Free Oats Poha For A Quick And Nutritious Breakfast

Poha is a popular breakfast or snack option in Indian households. But to make it healthier, you can add rolled oats to add some more fibre and protein. With this recipe, you can quickly make oats poha.

Ingredients

1.5 cups rolled oats 1 tablespoon oil 2 tablespoons peanuts ½ teaspoon mustard seeds 10 curry leaves ¼ cup chopped onion ¼ cup peas ¼ cup chopped tomato ½ teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Lemon juice for garnishing

Step 1

Rinse the rolled oats till they soften a bit and set them aside.

Step 2

Heat some oil and saute mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onion.

Step 3

Mix in peas, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt, and red chilli powder.

Step 4

When the tomatoes are soft, add rinsed oats and mix well.

Step 5

Cook for about 5 minutes and garnish with roasted peanuts and lemon juice. Serve hot.
