Millet halwa is a healthier spin on the traditional Indian dessert. If you are looking for a gluten-free or vrat-friendly dessert option, millet halwa can satiate all your cravings, that too without any guilt.

Ingredients

1 cup millet flour 1 cup milk 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup ghee 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder Chopped nuts for garnish

Step 1

Roast any millet flour, like foxtail or barnyard, till fragrant. Set aside.

Step 2

In a separate pan, mix milk, water, ghee, and sugar. Let it simmer.

Step 3

Mix in roasted millet flour and cardamom powder and cook till the mixture thickens.

Step 4

Garnish with chopped nuts and serve it warm.
