Dry fruit barfi can be a good addition to the bhog spread during Durga Puja. It can be prepared quickly and offered to the Goddess. This is an easy recipe you must try out.
750ml milk 1 tbsp sesame seeds ¾ cup cashews ¾ cup almonds 250ml milk 3-4 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp chopped pistachios 1 tbsp chopped rose petals
Boil cashews and almonds. Let them cool off and remove the skin of the almonds.
Blend the nuts with 250ml milk into a thick paste.
Heat the milk and reduce it to half before pouring the nut paste into it.
Add sugar and sesame seeds. Cook the blend until it leaves the pan.
When the paste is binding, add it to a baking pan and refrigerate the barfi for 2 hours.
Garnish it with chopped pistachios and rose petals. Cut and serve.
