Chilla is a healthy snack that is traditionally made with besan. To make it healthier or give a twist to leftover dal, you can make dal chilla, add your favourite veggies, and enjoy the snack without any guilt.
1 cup moong dal 1 cup water 2 teaspoons oil ½ teaspoon ajwain ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ⅓ cup chopped onions ⅓ cup chopped tomatoes 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger ½ cup coriander leaves Salt to taste
Take a bowl and mix dal, ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger, coriander, and water to make a batter.
Heat a pan, pour a spoonful of batter, and cook both sides.
Serve hot with a bowl of curd and your favourite chutney.
