Popcorn is an essential part of the Lohri thali. To give the traditional spread a little twist, you can make caramel popcorn. Follow these five easy steps to make movie theatre-like caramel popcorn at home.
1/2 cup popcorn kernel 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pop your popcorn using your preferred method, be it on the gas stove or microwave.
Add some salt and mix thoroughly.
Melt some butter, sugar, and vanilla extract over medium flame, and wait till it thickens.
Coat the popcorn in the caramel.
To give them extra crunch, bake the coated popcorn for half an hour before the Lohri prep.
