A speciality in the northern states of India, bathua is a green leafy veggie that is a winter bounty. Available during the winter season, the veggie has numerous benefits to offer when it comes to nutrition. This step-by-step recipe is a super quick way to make bathua raita for all your winter meals.
1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder 2 cups of curd/dahi ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder ¼ teaspoon of chilli powder Salt to taste
Cut the bathua and give it a thorough water wash, and let the water drain.
Boil the bathua in a pressure cooker.
Allow the boiling bathua to cool before grinding it into a paste.
Place curd, salt to taste, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder, and black pepper powder in a mixing bowl.
Mix everything thoroughly. Incorporate the ground bathua paste into the curd. Stir well. Serve bathua raita with your meals.
