Maharashtrian vada pav is a quick breakfast or snack that you can relish on the go. It is delicious, packed with flavours, and satisfies hunger. Below is a quick guide to make it at home.
4 pav 2 tbsp green chutney 4 fried green chillies Garlic chutney Tamarind chutney For Batter A pinch of hing ¾ cup besan ½ tsp turmeric powder 3 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste
For Aloo Mix 1 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 5-6 curry leaves 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste Salt to taste ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 4 boiled potatoes 1 tbsp coriander leaves
Prepare chutneys following your in-house recipes.
Temper mustard seeds, curry leaves, and powdered spices.
Add mashed boiled potatoes and salt. Turn off the heat and add coriander leaves on top.
Using powdered spices, water, and besan, create a slurry and dip potato balls in it.
Deep-fry potato balls and keep them aside. Spread chutneys on the surface of a half-opened bun.
Add deep-fried vadas and serve with fried chillies.
