Craving ice cream, but do not want it to mess with your diet? Try this low-calorie ice cream that uses simple ingredients that keep it light, creamy and enjoyable, making it perfect for everyday summer indulgence without you worrying about the sugar overload.

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas (frozen, sliced) ½ cup Greek yoghurt (low-fat) 2–3 tbsp honey or dates (optional, for sweetness) ¼ cup milk (low-fat or plant-based) ½ tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp cocoa powder or fresh fruit (optional flavour)

Step 1

Peel and slice the ripe bananas, then freeze them for at least 4 to 5 hours.

Step 2

Add the frozen banana slices to a blender along with some Greek yoghurt. Mix it slowly, let the mixture turn smooth, thick and creamy.

Step 3

Pour in milk slowly to adjust consistency and keep blending until the mixture appears like soft-serve ice cream.

Step 4

To this, now add honey or dates to give natural sweetness and also some vanilla extract and blend everything again.

Step 5

For a bit of variation, you can also add cocoa powder or fresh fruits like berries or mango, or any fruits of your choice.

Step 6

Serve it immediately for a soft scoop, or freeze for about 2 to 3 hours if you like a firmer scoop.
