You must have heard about rugda, one of the rarest mushrooms in Jharkhand. Khukri is another traditional local delicacy found in abundance and farmed for consumption during monsoon. Know more.
Khukri mushrooms 1 large onion 3-4 cloves garlic 2 green chillies 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon garam masala A pinch of asafoetida Salt to taste 3-4 tablespoons mustard oil Coriander leaves
Heat mustard oil, cumin seeds, chopped onion, garlic, green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and asafoetida.
Add the sliced Khukri mushrooms to the pan.
Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer until mushrooms are tender.
Season with salt and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
