With K-dramas and K-pop, people across the world have become acquainted and fallen in love with Korean food and culture. One of the recipes that foodies favour is fried chicken. Check out how to replicate it at home.
1.5 kg chicken wings ⅔ cup potato/ corn starch Salt to taste Oil for frying ¼ cup soy sauce ½ cup corn/ rice syrup 3-4 dried red chillies ⅓ cup peanuts 1 tsp minced ginger ½ tsp pepper 4 garlic cloves 1 tbsp vinegar, brown sugar 1 tsp mustard sauce, sesame seeds
Chop the chicken wings in half and cut off the tips. Rub a mixture of salt, pepper, and ginger all over the meat.
Sprinkle corn/ potato starch. Make sure that the powder coats every bit of the pieces. Fry the chicken until crispy and golden brown.
Oil a pan and add oil to it. Drop red chillies and minced garlic into it. Saute for 30 seconds.
Add rice syrup, mustard sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar. Let it come to a boil.
Add toasted peanuts and fried chicken to the sauce. Coat the meat well with this sweet and spicy sauce.
Garnish with spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.
