Soft yet crisp, protein-rich breakfast that feels indulgent without guilt. This paneer chilla recipe blends fresh cottage cheese, spices, and batter technique to create street-style flavour with homely comfort in every bite for busy mornings.
1 cup grated paneer ½ cup besan (gram flour) ¼ cup curd 1 finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped green chilli ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp turmeric powder Water as required 1 tsp oil per chilla
In a bowl, add paneer, besan, curd, salt, turmeric, and a little water; whisk to make a smooth, lump-free batter.
Mix in onion, green chilli, and cumin seeds, ensuring even distribution.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame and grease lightly with oil.
Pour a ladle of batter, spread gently into a circle, and cook until bubbles appear.
Flip carefully, cook until golden and crisp, then serve hot with chutney.
