Chicken 65 is a popular South Indian snack. Rich in protein and regional flavours, this recipe is quite cherished by meat lovers and has vegetarian alternatives too. Here is how you can make it at home.

Ingredients

For Marinade 600 gms boneless chicken Salt to taste 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste ½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala 4 tbsp curd 10-12 curry leaves 1 tsp lemon juice For Coating 2 tbsp rice flour 4 tbsp cornstarch 1 egg white

Ingredients

For Sauteing 4-6 green chillies 1.5 cups oil ½ tsp sugar 10-12 curry leaves 2 tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp chopped garlic 1 tsp lemon juice Salt, and pepper to taste 2 tbsp water

Step 1

Prepare the marinade and leave the chicken in it for at least an hour.

Step 2

Coat the chicken with cornstarch, egg white, and rice flour. Deep-fry until it’s cooked through.

Step 3

In a kadhai, heat oil and saute garlic, curry leaves, green chillies, and red chilli powder.

Step 4

Toss chicken in the kadhai and saute it for a couple of minutes.

Step 5

Sprinkle salt and pepper. Toss the ingredients for a minute and turn off the heat.

Step 6

Drizzle lemon juice on the top and serve chicken 65.
