Thin and crunchy banana chips not only complement chai but are also consumed as chakhna. Over the years, they have become available in different flavours, but their irresistible appeal remains unchanged. Check out the recipe.
4 cups water 3 unripe bananas 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp salt ½ cup water 1.5 cups coconut oil
Rinse bananas and remove their peels.
Slice the bananas using a mandolin slicer.
Dip the slices in turmeric water for 30 minutes.
Pat dry the slices and dip them in salt solution.
Dry the slices again and deep-fry them in hot coconut oil.
Take them out once they are crispy and enjoy.
