Sprouts chaat works best when it stays fresh and lightly spiced. Gently steaming the sprouts improves digestibility while keeping their bite. The flavour comes from citrus, herbs, and a little chaat masala rather than oil or heavy sauces.
1½ cups mixed sprouts (moong, moth, or chana), lightly steamed 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 small tomato, finely chopped 1 small cucumber, finely chopped 1 green chilli, finely chopped (optional) Juice of 1 lemon 1 tsp roasted cumin powder ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste 2 tbsp chopped coriander
Add warm, steamed sprouts to a mixing bowl.
Mix in onion, tomato, cucumber, and green chilli.
Sprinkle cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt.
Add lemon juice and toss gently.
Garnish with coriander and serve immediately as a light snack or meal.
