Moong Dal Idli is a light and healthy South Indian dish made with moong dal, semolina and spices. Soft and fluffy, it is perfect for a wholesome breakfast or snack!
1 cup yellow moong dal 1/4 cup semolina 1/2 cup yoghurt 1 tsp ginger paste 1 finely chopped green chilli 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp fruit salt (like Eno) Salt to taste Water as needed Oil to grease moulds
Soak moong dal for 2-3 hours and grind it into a smooth paste.
Mix semolina, yoghurt, ginger paste, green chilli, turmeric, and salt.
Add water for a thick batter, then stir the fruit salt into it.
Pour the batter into the greased idli moulds and steam for 10-12 minutes.
Serve with sambar and chutney
