This dahi bhindi is very simple to make and delicious to eat. With okra and yoghurt, this recipe can be prepared within minutes.
12 to 15 okras or bhindi 2 green chillies 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon oil ½ tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp urad dal 1 dry red chilli 6 to 8 curry leaves 1 ½ cups thick yoghurt or dahi
Wash and pat dry the bhindi (okra). Trim the ends. Cut them into 1 cm thick pieces.
In a pan, add oil, chopped bhindi, and green chillies, and sauté on medium to medium-high flame, uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes.
To prepare the tempering, in a small pan, heat a tablespoon of oil, add mustard seeds, add urad dal, curry leaves, and red chillies, and sauté.
Switch off the flame. In a bowl, add yoghurt or curds and whisk them for a minute
If it is too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water and adjust the consistency
Add salt to taste, sauteed bhindi, the tempering prepared earlier, and mix well. Serve immediately and enjoy!
