While fasting, kuttu puri is a staple. During Navratri, it replaces wheat-based flatbreads, making it slightly tricky. If you are a newbie in the kitchen, here is how to make it.
½ tsp cumin powder 2 cups kuttu flour 1 cup hot boiling water 1 tsp rock salt Ghee/ oil for frying
Sprinkle salt and cumin powder over kuttu flour.
Add boiling water and mix the ingredients with a spoon.
Leave the blend to cool off for a few minutes.
Knead a soft dough and let it rest while the oil is heating.
Take a small amount of dough, dip it in the kadhai, and roll it into a disc.
Deep-fry puris in hot ghee or oil and enjoy with curries.
