Bhindi or okra is already available in the market, marking the onset of the summer season. Just the thought of pairing it with paratha or serving it with dal and rice makes your mouth slabber. Here is the recipe for kurkuri bhindi that will elevate your dining experience with a crunch.
1/2 tsp turmeric powder 500 grams okra 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ cup gram flour 1 tsp garam masala Salt as needed 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp chaat masala 1p tbsp oil 1 tsp amchur powder
Rinse okra thoroughly and pat dry it. Slice each one vertically.
Combine all the powdered spices and sprinkle the blend all over the bhindi slices.
Coat the okra with besan and let the ingredients marinate for 20-30 minutes.
While bhindi marinates, you can heat the oil in a kadhai.
Deep-fry spiced bhindi until it's golden brown and crispy.
Enjoy it with paratha or dal-chawal.
