Tamil Nadu-style kothamalli chutney is a flavour-packed side dish that you can enjoy with parathas, full-fledged Indian meals, and South Indian staples. Try this recipe and make your guests a fan of your culinary skills.
2 garlic cloves 2 tbsp oil 12 small onion 2 tsp oil 2 tbsp urad dal 2 cups coriander leaves ½ tsp mustard seeds 2 red chillies 7-8 curry leaves Salt to taste 2 tbsp coconut 1 tsp tamarind
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and add urad dal.
Once the lentil turns brown, add garlic cloves, onions, and red chillies.
Add salt and coriander leaves. Combine the ingredients before adding coconut.
Let the ingredients cool off and grind them into a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves to it.
Pour the tempering over the green paste and kothamalli chutney is ready.
