Khus Khus Thandai: Spiced And Chilled Beverage To Help You Destress

Khus khus, aka poppy seeds, when added to thandai, the traditional Indian summer beverage, makes a fibre-rich and relaxing drink. In just five minutes, you can make this spiced cooler at home.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons khus khus seeds 300 ml milk 5 teaspoons sugar 10 almonds 2 cardamoms 5 whole black peppers Pinch of saffron Ice cubes

Step 1

You can soak the khus khus with almonds and black pepper overnight.

Step 2

Drain the water, then grind the contents into a paste.

Step 3

Blend the khus khus mixture, milk, saffron, cardamom, and sugar till frothy.

Step 4

Add ice cubes and garnish with some chopped nuts, and the thadai will be ready.
