Kashmiri Paneer Methi Chaman To End Winter On A Warm Note

Methi chaman is a popular Kashmiri vegetarian dish made with fresh fenugreek leaves and paneer. The dish is rich in flavours and has a creamy texture.

Ingredients

200g of paneer, cubed 2 onions, ground into paste 5 green chillies Methi, as required Coriander leaves, as needed 100g of curd 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste Mint chutney, as needed ½ tablespoon ajwain 1 tbsp garam masala ½ tsp pepper powder 2 tbps of fresh cream Salt as needed

Step 1

Cut coriander leaves and green chilli. Grind and make a paste of green chilli and onion.

Step 2

Add some water, methi leaves, and coriander leaves, and make a paste. Mix well and add curd.

Step 3

Add oil to a pot and heat it. Add sliced paneer and fry for 5 mins on medium flame.

Step 4

Add onion paste. Sauté well and cook for 3 mins. Add ginger garlic paste, ajwain and cook for 2 mins.

Step 5

Add mint chutney, salt,garam masala, pepper and cook for 2 mins.

Step 6

Now add fried paneer, fresh cream, few coriander leaves. Let it cook.

Step 7

Serve paneer methi chaman with rice, roti or naan.
