The khatti meethi chutney with raw mangoes can elevate all your meals. To make the summer condiment, pick up some kache aam, gather your spices, and follow these six easy steps.
2½ cups grated raw mangoes ½ cup jaggery 1 tsp ginger 1 green chilli, chopped 1 tsp oil ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp pepper ½ tsp kalonji seeds ⅓ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp mustard powder ½ tsp vinegar
Take some raw mangoes and grate them.
Heat a pan on a low flame and add spices such as ginger, green chilli, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper, kalonji seeds, and mustard powder.
Once fragrant, add the grated mangoes and turmeric powder to give a yellow colour.
Mix in jaggery till it melts, and then add vinegar.
Let the mixture sit for about five minutes till the chutney is thicker.
Let the raw mango chutney cool, and then store it in air-tight containers.
