Steaming baskets open to reveal delicate dumplings packed with juicy chicken, garlic, and peppery warmth. Inspired by bustling hill-station stalls, these chicken momos bring thin wrappers, glossy tops, and spicy chutney-ready goodness to your plate.
1 cup maida (all-purpose flour) ½ tsp salt Water as needed 1 tsp oil 250 g minced chicken 2 tbsp finely chopped onion 1 tbsp chopped spring onion greens 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp soy sauce ½ tsp black pepper Salt to taste
Knead maida, salt, oil, and water into a smooth dough; rest 15 minutes.
Combine minced chicken, onion, spring onion, garlic, soy sauce, pepper, and salt.
Roll small thin discs from the dough.
Add filling, pleat edges, and seal tightly into momo shapes.
Steam 8-10 minutes till glossy and cooked through; serve immediately.
