This International Tea Day, make yourself spend some extra five minutes to make masala chai just how your go-to tapri makes. Simmered spices and double boiled, here’s how to make masala chai.
1.5 cups water 1 inch cinnamon stick 3 green cardamoms 4 cloves 5 black peppercorns ½ inch fresh ginger, grated 1 teaspoon tea leaves ¾ cup milk Sugar to taste
Dry roast cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns till aromatic.
Add water and grated ginger to the same pan. Let it boil.
Add tea leaves and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Pour in the milk and sugar and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
Strain the tea into cups and enjoy!
